Description: Up for sale is an interesting painted photograph of a little girl in a blue dress. Given her clothing and shoes, it is estimated that the photograph was taken during the Edwardian era or in the early 1900s at the latest and probably painted around the same time as this was a common practice during that period. Framed and triple matted in a beautiful heavy wood frame, probably from the same time, measuring approximately 14.25 inches tall by 12.25 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep. Glass area measures approximately 9.25 inches tall by 7.25 inches wide - bubbles are present in the glass, along with a few very light surface scratches. Painted photograph measures approximately 7.5 inches tall by 5.5 inches wide. There is a family note dated 1960 on the reverse, but it does not appear to pertain to information about the little girl in the image - just when the recipient obtained the piece and who he received it from.
