Description: VINTAGE GERMAN-STYLE CHRISTMAS GOOSE FEATHER TREE HAND MADE and SIGNED BY ROBERT TREADWAY 30” TALL This amazing quality tree was hand crafted in 1987 and signed by Robert Treadway. It is in great condition except for a couple of the berries at the end of branches are worn. Bright Christmas red wood base. There was an article regarding Robert Treadway hand making these goose feather trees in the New York Times in the 80's.Mr. Treadway, who was a florist, made the trees in a barn on his country property in North Salem, NY.You can still find the article about him online. This tree measures 30” tall, from tip to tip of widest branches, 19”.(Branches will be folded up for shipping.) It is signed on the bottom -“Robert Treadway 1987 USA!” Ornaments not included. This is a very special handmade tree, quite rare.Not certain how this tree made it to Kansas City from New York, bit it is now ready to find a new home. Please ask any questions before bidding. .
