The hair is at least 3-4 inches long (as measured approx. half way up the tail). They are excellent for long streamers, deceivers, clousers, jigs - any time you need long tail! Also great for freshwater flies such as bass, pike and muskie bugs! You'll find more usable, larger fibers on these tails than on your standard bucktails which cost just about the same. Each tail is individually wrapped to keep it clean until you're ready to use it. And the dying is superb, not washed out colors! Only as you can expect it to be from Hareline!!!!!
