Description: Harley Knucklehead/Panhead/Shovelhead OEM Seat Post Assembly (Big Twins, Only) OEM seat post assembly.We completely disassembled this seat post for inspection, and it was all done by hand. So there are no frozen nuts. Spring rod remains in very good condition with no notching. Threads remain straight, but there is some minor blemishing from pitting. That being said, all end nuts turn by hand without any hang-ups or drag. And the plunger lock turns nicely into the upper plunger tube, by hand.This assembly is correct for Big Twin use, only. For the 45" Flathead models, a smaller diameter plunger assembly was used. And the two DO NOT interchange. So this seat post assembly is for Big Twin applications, only. .............................................................................................................................................................NOTE: required is a frame-to-rod end nut and locking washer which mounts from the bottom side of the frame. This nut is required so as to keep the seat post attached to the frame when the spring tension is released while riding.
