The Camel was a representative air-cooled engine fighter aircraft of the British forces during World War I. It was renowned for its exceptional maneuverability, speed, and climbing power, with a total production of 5,490 units across various models. Developed by Sopwith Aviation, the F.1 model, equipped with a Clerget 9B 130 horsepower engine, was introduced in 1917. The actual aircraft featured a wooden frame covered with fabric, while the engine area, tail assembly, rudder frame, and landing gear struts were made of metal. The cockpit area was covered with plywood. The kit faithfully reproduces this aircraft as a structural model, excluding the fabric covering. It includes parts in six different colors (two shades of brown, ivory, dark gray, clear, and silver-plated parts) along with rubber tires, rigging wire, metal wire, and other materials, allowing for a detailed finish even without painting. Like the actual aircraft, the control stick and foot pedals are linked to the corresponding control surfaces (with an option for a fixed state).
