HB Marans French Black Copper Marans hatching eggs

Description: HB Marans French Black Copper Marans hatching eggs. PLEASE READ MY ADD IN ITS ENTIRETY This listing is for 10 of my HB Marans line of French Black Copper Marans hatching eggs plus 2 free eggs to make a dozen. 19 years and counting of exclusively breeding imported lines. About the eggs pictured…. The eggs pictured are all eggs layed by my flock, HB Marans. The darkest eggs pictured were produced and collected in the earlier part of the laying season for year 2024 & year 2023. These are some of the eggs I hatched for myself and serve as my grow outs to see what I'm producing then possibly added to my main flock.  As the season goes on you see an example of what BCM’s lay when they lighten. All my birds have the potential to lay the darkest of any eggs pictured as will your grown chicks. They will also have the potential to be and produce show quality birds. About my flock HB Marans…. I’ve been breeding my Marans for 19 years. I started my flock in 2005 and over a couple years I had gathered 3 of the original imported foundational lines that I purchased from the original owners. I continue to breed them to the French Standard of Perfection for their plumage, body type and egg color of course. I also breed for temperament. They were not yet recognized officially here in the US by the American Poultry Association until 2011. In 2017, I added Brenda Little’s, Little Peddlers Marans direct from her of course, to my list of Imported Marans to join my flock and have continued to breed only those 4 lines since. My flock gets to free range to allow them to supplement their diets and have fun! They do love to forage and are their healthiest & happiest with some freedom in my experience. I ship eggs that are laid with-in 48 hours. The eggs pictured, with exception to the first three pictures, are of eggs that have were laid the same day or 2 of each other. Those pictures are an example of what you will receive. The first three pictures were that of some eggs I collected to hatch for 2023 & this year 2024. I do not collect only the darkest eggs for say week or something to mail out so please don’t expect that. The hatchability of hatching eggs decreases daily, so this is why it is important that I collect timely and get them shipped out to you instead of only collecting from the hens that are cycling in their darkest lay periods. It’s also unnecessary to ask for only the darkest eggs if you are buying eggs from a breeder like me that is experienced and has proven stock. I have years and years of testimonies to attest to the color that your babies will grow up to produce, the heartiness, friendliness and beauty of my flock. I also have many people show my birds with winning results. Most of you may know this but I'll say it for those who don't, Black Copper Marans egg color does change for many different reasons, such as age, length of time she been laying, just about to or coming off a molt. Lots of reasons but the hen wouldn’t be part of my breeding program if she hadn’t been hatched from a dark egg and laid dark eggs to begin with. Now that’s not to say I’m sending you unacceptable lightly colored eggs either. They just may not all be as dark as the darkest egg in your bunch. you can see pictures in my add of examples of what I'll send. They are always beautiful, thoughtfully chosen and never light unacceptable eggs.  If you are not already, please be aware of the high risk involved with trying to hatch shipped eggs. Traveling hundreds or thousands of miles is ruff on hatching eggs. You're assuming the risk. I package them the very best way for travel that I have found over the many years of sharing my eggs.  Yes, you may find that they seem expensive, but they are still priced at 1/2 of what I paid for them 19 years ago. If you're not willing to take the risk of shipping expensive hatching eggs that are notoriously harder to hatch than typical chicken eggs, please do not buy them.  Please do your part......... Make sure you have a quality incubator that is absolutely clean & sanitized! Be sure it's currently accurate for temp and steady and consistent humidity conditions.  Please have freshly washed, dry hands before handling the eggs to avoid contaminating them. Please don't wash them and remove the protective bloom or push any possible contaminates into the porous shell. Please don't twirl and whirl them candling, trying to "see" if anything is growing. They are much more difficult to candle than a typically colored egg. Your just risking damage to the fragile embryos especially early on in the incubation process. I suggest not candling at all. What will be will be and you're taking the risk of lessening your successful hatch each time you mess with them in my opinion. They don't need to be candled unless you are smelling a really bad smell from your incubator, they are not going to explode. Those stories are from people trying to hatch contaminated, dirty, old, or rotten eggs.  I don’t suggest hatching my eggs with other breeds eggs because of the low humidity Black Copper Marans eggs require and or the sanitation of other breeders/producers' eggs. I work very hard daily to ensure a very clean environment for my chickens to live and lay eggs in. I'm very conscientious about the handling, storage and packing of my eggs. Not everyone is or does so you risk contaminating my eggs which negates my efforts to help you have a successful hatch. SHIPPING: Please read! I’ve been getting some percentages lowered from my feedback because people are rating the shipping cost low…. Please know that My eggs will be securely packaged and shipped USPS Priority Mail flat rate box $20. The reason I ship flat rate which is more than regular priority mail is the box is insured up to $100. I also use quality products to wrap and secure the eggs, label the box along with quality packing tape and labels on the box. These cost along with the gas to drive to the post office 40 min round trip are all included into determining a reasonable shipping price. Please take that information into consideration. Thank you for reading my add and please message me if you have any questions about my flock or trying to decide if they are the right choice for you and your goals. I’m happy to try to help.
