Sideshow is proud to present this iconic character from the first film in the Hellboy Universe, the Demon Sammael. Intricately Sculpted by the Hell Spawn artisan, Tully Summers. Hellboy is a fictional superhero created by the iconic writer-artist Mike Mignola. The character first appeared in San Diego Comic-Con Comics #2 (August 1993), and has since appeared in various eponymous miniseries, one-shots and intercompany crossovers. In the film, Hellboy is sent to investigate an incident at a museum and battles a creature named Sammael. Sammael is Hell's Demon of Resurrection. After defeating it, Hellboy visits former BPRD member Liz Sherman at a mental hospital that she committed herself to due to her unstable pyrokinetic abilities. Hellboy's psychic sidekick, the amphibious humanoid named Abraham Sapien (Abe) learns that Sammael was resurrected by Rasputin. He has imbued Sammael with the power to reincarnate and split his essence, causing two of the creature's eggs to hatch and mature each time one dies. The Sammael Maquette was produced in high quality polystone and hand painted to the highest standards that Sideshow is famous for. His unique monstrous physic is captured in this ghoulish adaptation. He stands atop a broken concrete slab display base with his details on the bottom. This Amazing Statue was produced in a strictly Limited Edition of only 1500 pieces worldwide and long Sold Out at Sideshow.
