Description: This copy is in good to very good condition from November, 1903. Unknown at this time if this was issued with a dust jacket or not. Book only stands 7” tall. Very regal with its decorative spine done in gold gilt along with outlining the front cover and title. 97 % still attached and still shiny. Binding still holds firm all 168 + pages. No loose or missing pages. Front cover hinge is a wee bit loose but nothing abnormal for a book of this age. Front cover corners are bumped and slightly frayed. Normal shelf wear inside an active library. We believe this to be a first edition but a possible later printing. This is not ex-lib nor has it been remaindered. James Whitcomb Riley (1849-1916) was an American writer, poet, and best selling author. Riley was also known for being the “Hoosier Poet” and “Children’s Poet”.
