Description: Note: Please disregard the flashbulb glare spots reflecting off the angles and glossy glaze. This beautiful dinner plate is a stunning piece of Georgian pottery from Staffordshire, United Kingdom. The plate features a transfer printed image of the Vue du Chateau Ermenonville, a French castle, and is dated from 1825. The plate is made of high-quality ceramic and has a glossy finish. It is in absolutely beautiful estate condition with NO cracks, NO repairs and NO restorations. It shows only very light, age appropriate signs of wear with very subtle utensil marks in the well area, visible when angled towards a bright light source. The backside shows one old chip, visible only from the backside, as shown in the photos. The dark blue transfer printed scene and border show crisp clarity, rich deep blue color under a glossy shine. Measuring 10-1/8" in diameter, this round dinner plate is perfect for all occasions and is sure to impress any guest. The plate is an original from the Enoch Wood & Sons potter firm and has an impressed backstamp of "WOOD". Hand wash only is recommended for this antique piece, which weighs 1.2 lb before packaging for shipping. Add a touch of early dark blue Staffordshire elegance to your dinnerware collection with this exquisite plate.
