Plus, the 1/2 hp motor provides added power for slicing cheese. The anodized aluminum base features smooth, durable surfaces that are easy to clean with built-in antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi. Designed to be simple to operate with front installed push/pull quick start/stop operations to save time and operator energy. The durable poly V-belt drive system reduces maintenance without sacrificing the high-end performance you expect. The exclusive design extends the belt life while still producing optimal slicing, and the entire system operates much quieter than other standard slicers. A slew of integrated safeties have been included. The Power Interrupt feature requires the slicer to be manually re-started after a power interruption. The Gauge Plate and Carriage Interlock feature prevents the carriage tray from being removed unless the carriage is in the home position (pulled all the way to the front) and the gauge plate is closed. When the Carriage Tray is tilted horizontally, the slicer turns off and cannot be turned back on until the tray is returned to its starting position.
