Description: This is a service to correctly recolor your disassembled and degreased Holley 4bbl Carburetor. This will restore the original gold / iridescent finish to your carb body and components. This is NOT A PAINT and your components are NOT ZINC PLATED to accept the coloring. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!…the same finish and look as originally colored from Holley. The photos in this listing have not been altered / touched up in any way. They are an accurate representation of what you can expect This service is for carburetors made of Zinc alloy, commonly known as Zamak or Zamac. This is the same process used when these carburetors were originally manufactured. Your carburetor body will be cleaned, prepped and activated to accept dichromate conversion finish that is not affected by oil, gas, carburetor cleaner, etc. This service is for a a single four barrel body and all associated parts original to that carb (based on list #); 2 bowls, up to two metering blocks, up to two accelerator pump covers, 1 choke housing or manual choke bracket, and one vacuum secondary housing with cover. The turn around time for this service is 5 business days. Your carburetor must be completely disassembled and degreased. It does not need to be sand or bead blasted. Any metal components (choke flap/rod/ vacuum nipples etc) should be removed as the process will remove any protective coatings and they will rust. There is no need to send the base plate or any linkages. This service is for home hobbyists or carburetor builders who wish to restore the original appearance to their carburetor bodies. You will be responsible for shipping your carburetor to me. The shipping cost in this listing is to pay the shipping costs back to you once it is completed. If you are shipping a rare / valuable carburetor and you wish to have it insured, insurance will be additional based on the value you determine. I have a business registered as an LLC in Oregon and frequently rebuild / restore high end / expensive / rare carburetors for customers throughout the world. I developed this process to accurately restore carburetor bodies for customers who want high end / accurate restorations. I am now offering this coloring service to those who wish to rebuild / restore their own carbs or shops who have been unable to replicate this process. Please note; some carburetor bodies have deteriorated to the point that they will not refinish properly.
