Horn has 90% lacquer with a couple solder repairs completed and showing scratches and scuffs and some dent removal. Slides are all smooth and firm, valves are fast and caps thread easily. Later model Holton case is in good used condition with some interior wear, horn comes with a Holton Collegiate mouthpiece. (This is a $150 service for complete reconditioning at the shop)Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbedBody, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT) Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour) Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as neededPlay tested and final inspected before listing for sale ***Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case.
