Description: Hon California Stainless Steel Folding Bicycle (DAHON) - for RV, Yacht, Travel, Camping - LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY We purchased this Hon Folding Bicycle brand new in the early 1980's to use on a sailboat. This model pre-dates the name change to DAHON by a few years. You can look it up on Wikipedia - it is quite an interesting story about the HON brothers and their engineering vision in developing the folding bike concept. We ended up not buying the sailboat and only used the bike around the neighborhood a few times. It was a real novelty at the time, and I remember the neighborhood kids running up to us and shouting "Wow, cool bike, what is it"!! Along with the bike, we are including the original owners manual and fold-out guide that shows and explains how to operate it. We no longer have the original bag that it came in. We mainly stored it inside, but prior to a move, we stored it outside under a tarp, so there is some oxidation, dirt, dust, etc. This bike needs some TLC - it has never been cleaned properly or had any maintenance performed on it. I am no longer riding bikes, but it appears to be in working order. Since I am not able to test it, the bike is "SOLD AS IS". Note that after I took the bike photos, the yellow reflector (see last photo) that goes on the front tire spokes has fallen off. The rubber nut with "ear" that is used to attach the reflector is broken (see last photo) and needs to be replaced. The yellow reflector will be included with this sale, but it is no longer attached to the tire spokes. It should be an easy repair. Also, our model does not include the optional luggage rack.
