Description: Vintage 8x10 still of Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein Monster in the 1944 Universal horror classic House of Frankenstein. In very good condition with some emulsion cracking on the left and right blank borders, no tears, pinholes or tape. From the age and paper type I believe this to be an original, possibly Re-release still. It is definitely older than the 60s-70s restrikes and copy stills I have from this film. I have seen many original re-release stills from the realart Universal horror re-releases on similar paper, and with no text other than the still code in the lower right. From the collection of noted collector and early fanzine publisher John Parnum. Sturdy secure shipping is $5.99. See my other listings for vintage sci-fi and horror posters and stills, Famous Monsters magazines, golden age comics, and other cool stuff. I will combine shipping where I can IF you request a combined invoice after putting items in your cart and committing to buy. If you pay for items individually I might be able to give you a shipping refund after the fact but it will be less since I get charged commission on your shipping fees. Thanks for looking! See below for still types and descriptions. Note that still sizes can vary a bit. 8x10 is the standard, but 7.75 x 9.75 or thereabouts is common. I always note if a still has been noticeably trimmed. Original: a studio-made still from the time of original release of the film, created for theater display or press release use. Some originals have the movie title and some credits, others have just copyright and permission for press use, still others have no text. Rerelease: an original studio-made still created for a later release of the film. Restrike: A copy made using an original negative. Restrikes were made both by studios, sometimes for rerelease or tv promo use, and also have been made by collectors and dealers who acquired original negatives.Copy Photo: a photo made by photographing an original photo to make a new negative which is then printed. Copy photos often have less sharp focus than originals and restrikes, and you can sometimes see the border of the original photo on the far edges. Any still with Kodak paper watermarks on the reverse is either a restrike or a copy photoDigital Copy: a recent copy still printed with an inkjet printer. I DO NOT SELL DIGITAL COPIES
