REVIEW House on Haunted Hill and The Bat are a great combination pack for about 15 dollars(they have good quality too unlike the horrid Platinum Disc release). Both are mystery thrillers with Vincent Price. They both focus on murder mysteries and have unexpected twist endings. House on Haunted Hill in particular is far better than the newer remakes. This movie probably innovated many of the horror cliches and it pulls it off better than the imitators. Vincent Price steals the show in House on Haunted Hill, and despite its age, it still holds up well. You could probably watch both of these movies with the whole family. At the same time, they both are excellent films. The Bat is also very entertaining and about on the same level as House on Haunted Hill. The Bat is a little more clear than the original 1926 film, due to the advent of sounds. I highly recommend both. Turn the lights off and enjoy two relatively short thrillers. A wonderful product worth anyone's time.
