Description: Up for sale is R John Wright Molly & Jack, Kate Greenaway twins are faithfully based on the charming Kate Greenaway illustrations. The twins stand about 8" tall, are constructed of the finest all wool felt, fully jointed for great posing, with tiny sculptural hands which are sewn with individual fingers and the facial features are delicately painted by hand. Each doll has a wig of the finest imported mohair. Jack is costumed in a tailored period 2 piece cotton suit with organdy ruffles at the neck and wrists and tiny mother of pearl buttons. He has cotton stockings and hand cobbled leather shoes. He is topped by a natural straw braid hat embellished with a band of handmade felt daisies. Molly wears a beautifully detailed outfit made of cotton and organdy with a matching cape. Her bonnet is sewn of natural straw braid and decorated with tiny handmade felt daisies. She has period undergarments with silk stockings and hand cobbled leather shoes. This is a Darling cabinet size set from an edition of only 150 and they are # 27. They come to you in Pristine Mint Condition in their original box with COA and hand signed tags by R John Wright. Also unused unused registration card.
