Description: From John Stanley Antique Tools. This listing is for a vintage Snow & Nealley Co. / Bangor, ME. 1 3/4 lb. Hudson Bay style axe. In very good used condition. The head is unmarked as is often the case with these Hudson Bay style axes. The S&N logo on the original handle still has some of the lettering very faintly visible. On the underside is the number '1 3/4' for the weight. Measures 17 3/8" long. The head measures 6 5/8" long with a 4" wide cutting edge. As shown, the handle has been taped by a previous owner. Due to being stored in a dry environment the handle has loosened some. Good user axe or add to your collection. You may want to check out our many other vintage original S&N axes we have listed.
