Description: This battery system has been in development for more than a year and has performed flawlessly in all tests. Most notably, it is being used by J3 Competition and was utilized for Oliver Hodgson's recent SKUSA ProTour win in X30 Pro. This starting battery system includes multiple pieces to save weight and increase the starting power over lead acid and existing lithium batteries. The battery box is an alternative to the factory IAME box supplied with both KA100 and X30 engine packages. It is legal in major series such as USPKS, TSRS, and SKUSA when mounted correctly, but please refer to your desired rulebook if it differs from these. The engine start button mount is integral to the battery box, and the kill switch is not utilized, but the stock IAME start button must be supplied. This system utilizes a high-performance lithium polymer (LiPo) battery to reduce weight and spin the engine over faster. This leads to faster starts and less chance of flooding. It has enough capacity to easily last a full race day with more than 90% charge remaining at the end of the day. The standard lightweight battery box system will include the 3D printed battery box, battery cover, high performance lithium battery, battery connection harness, and extension leads to more easily charge the battery without removal. A quick and easy to use charger can be supplied additionally, as the lithium battery does require a dedicated charger.
