Instructions for use: Decoction: Add 5 gram dryed thyme to 250 ml boiling water, boil for 1 minutes. Insist 10 minutes. Take 50 ml 2-3 times a day 15 minutes before meals. Tincture: Add 15 grams dryed thyme to 150 ml alcohol, insist for 10-14 days in a warm dark place, periodically drain. Take one teaspoon 1-2 times a day 30 minutes before meals or before bedtime. Tea: Add 2 springs of dryed thyme in a mug and pour 200 ml hot water over, allow to steep for 15 min. Remove thyme springs or strain. Sweeten with raw honey and/or fresh lemon. To use as a regular tea-drink, mainly before lunch. Water: Fill jug or pitcher with 1 l cold filtered or spring water and add 2 whole bunches dryed thyme springs. Allow to insist for overnight. In the morning remove/strain thyme sprigs and add lemon or raw honey or any optional ingredients you like (berries, cucumber slices, mint etc). Sip water throughout the day for the ultimate hydration and healing benefits. Salt: Remove stems from Thyme herb, leaving only leaves and flowers. Measure out sea salt - the ratio of salt to dried Thyme is largely a matter of taste. Start with one tablespoon of chop Thyme to ¼ cup of salt. Keep adding Thyme a tablespoon at a time until you get the flavor profile you're after. Mix salt and Thyme by hand with a mortar and estle. Aim for breaking up the added herb into grain sized pieces without turning the batch into dust.
