A throwback to the asphalt crunch of AC/DC as well as Thin Lizzy's snaky guitar heroics, IMMORTALIZER tosses a shot of rough punk into the mix just for good measure. Otherwise they play it pretty straight, but this sort of fist-pumping escapism is surprisingly scarce these days, which casts Valient Thorr in the unlikely role of saviors. The band isn't stressing it however, as they're too busy banging their heads.
