Note: I spoke with the previous owners daughter who told me her dad loved this teapot and this was made by Warren MacKenzie. He is one of the most well known potters from Minnesota. His influence changed pottery in Minnesota and around the country. Warren is no longer with us but he wanted everyone to have his pottery and hated to charge money for his work. His items sell for a good amount today but they are beautiful works of art and will continue to go up in value. This tea pot was cracked by the owner and repaired professionally. I did not see a crack until I looked inside and saw a hairline crack that looked repaired. The is a solid tea pot but should be used as a decor item only not for actual use.
