There are many signs that point to one and then another suspect before the final chapter is revealed.Inn at Ravens Crest by Salem Marlowe has a plot we may have read before, but the characters and the events are brand new and kept me glued to my Kindle. Each time I thought I had solved the mystery, another twist changed my mind. I couldnt help but root for Maggie and Lee and for the future success of the Inn. Each character was well portrayed and had all the human characteristics of good and evil in them. I would love to see what happens when the next set of guests arrive at the Inn. It would be an awesome TV series with new guests arriving weekly. I highly recommend reading Inn at Ravens Crest; mystery fans will not be disappointed. Best friends Maggie Foster and Lee Menard have long dreamed of owning a bed and breakfast together. When Maggie divorces her husband and Lees husband dies leaving her a large inheritance, they have the opportunity to bring their dream to life. After finding an abandoned Victorian called Cliffside Manor on the internet, they buy it and start to remodel it, renaming it Inn at Ravens Crest. Soon shadowy figures are seen and whispers are heard in the house.A large Pacific storm washes out the only road and knocks out the power. When they find the backup generator is damaged with a house-full of guests the remoteness of the house proves to be a drawback. Then one of the guests is found dead and the situation turns sinister. One of the guests, who is a Seattle police office on medical leave, begins to look into the death. Suspicion falls on Maggie and Lee, and on one of their guests, a reclusive man who had taken a long-term rental of one of their cabins. Another guest disappears, and the reclusive man is seen hovering around the cliff, raising everyones suspicions.Shadows come alive and activity ramp up. Will the friends survive to enjoy their dream? Or will the reputed curse on Cliffside Manor claim them all? Author Biography Salem Marlowe has always loved Gothics and especially those with ghosts in the story.
