It is written for students who are not familiar with all the components of the criminal justice system. It also includes an instructor site that provides helpful resources for instructors. I have used this book for two semesters, and my students really seem to enjoy it., I found this text to be perfectly organized to present the criminal justice system from beginning to end in a very logical and sensible manner. It is well written at a level that will allow the student to better understand the complexities of the system., Great text. Very user friendly for both faculty and student. Awesome for the visual learner. Highly recommended!!, ...I appreciated the inclusion of diversity and felt that the current events and contemporary issues presented throughout the book were very relevant to the study of criminal justice today...Students are always appreciative of interactive components, such as audio and video, and they enjoy reading various case studies. I also really liked the images and thought that the graphics were interesting and made the content much more understandable., Students have positively evaluated the text. I think it is comprehensive without being too hard for an introductory level course. Also, I teach many students who have no background in criminal justice (non-majors). Unlike majors, most of these students have little to no knowledge of the system (knowledge perhaps gained from television and movies). This text is suitable for them also., The information is clearly laid out for students to grasp. The chapters are not too long and students should be able to easily grasp concepts. They cover important policy areas that are often ignored in other Intro texts., The contemporary issues and challenges confronting the U.S. justice system are critically and comprehensively examined in the latest edition of Introduction to Criminal Justice: Systems, Diversity, and Change. The text applies a unique lens to understanding the interconnected nature of crime and justice, the role of diversity, and how technology has changed the field of law enforcement, the courts, and the correctional system.Copyright Date2020Target AudienceCollege AudienceTopicSociology / General, GeneralLccn2018-026437Dewey Decimal364.973Dewey Edition23GenreTrue Crime, Law, Science, Social Science
