Description: This is an original WW2 Italian helmet liner that was partly converted to be used in German M35, M40 and/or M42 helmets. It was done during the war mostly on the southern front. The liner is used, no drawstring and is missing a couple of the leather rivets. The tabs that held it into the Italian helmet have been removed. You need to fit it into your German helmet by adding a spacing washer and drilling into the liner band. Great for restoring an original or making a repop. The liner's size is 58 with the circumference measuring around 62cm around the metal part of the band. The leather liner will add a little on the measurement.
