This piece was purchased from the estate of a career art dealer in Creve Couer, MO. We believe it is an oil sketch (reference Jack Tworkov, oil sketch, Hollis Taggart Gallery), possibly a study for a larger painting. It is an oil pastel on paper. The paper, matting, frame, tape are all appropriate to the age of the piece. We suspect this is a circa 1950's piece/possibly earlier. We have attempted to take as many photos referencing the paper, technique, medium, signature, etc. for consideration. The paper measures 12" x 8"; the site is 9 3/4" x 7 3/4".
