Japanese Army Shin Gunto Sword With Scabbard 21 Inches

Description: I believe this is a NCO WW2 Japanese Army Shon Gunto Sword from WW2. Missing the end cap on grip. Lacing has come undone on the grip. Beautiful detailed decorations on the piece of metal between the guard and the grip. That piece of metal and the guard have movement. I do not see any makers markings on the blade that has scratches, dings and black patina. Scabbard appears to be lacquered wood and has some minor scratches. Measurement from end of handle to tip of blade is just under 21 inches. Blade from guard to tip is just under 15 1/2 inches long.
