Description: This racket was from a batch specifically intended for John McEnroe. He did not use it and did not string it. It was acquired and strung by the original owner who had it strung but then decided to never play with the racket due to McEnroe’s success and the possibility that it could become a collectors item. The racket is now available from a private collection. The condition is near mint/mint.As you will see in the pictures the racket has been impeccably cared for (never used etc.) The only minor flaw is the original owner stored the racket with the top of the head resting on carpet with the racket leaning on the wall. This caused minor rub to the top of the head. See pictures. I have not come across any racket 40 or so years old in better condition. My father has an amazing collection of racket and has decided to sell some of his better items so they can be appreciated by fellow tennis enthusiasts.
