Description: John Steinbeck's "The Winter of Our Discontent" by Viking Press. This is another John Steinbeck book that has MANY Book Club editions held out as first editions. Some of the Book Club editions are easily spotted-some are much more difficult. All of these points must be met for this to be a first edition first printing. 1. There needs to be 311 pages. 2. All page edges must be evenly trimmed. 3. There must be no deboss on the back bottom of the board by the spine 4. The boards are a blue cloth 5. There must be a price of $4.50 on the front DJ flap. There is a Book Club edition that is almost identical to the first edition except for the presence of the deboss and lack of a price on the DJ flap. This copy is VG with chipping to the DJ. There are no previous owners names or bookplates inside the book. I combine shipping for multiple orders.
