Description: SPANISH ARTIST, JULIO DE DIEGO- ORIGINAL DRAWING- 1955 A “lyrical” painter in his own words. De Diego arrived in the United States in 1924 and settled in Chicago two years later. The Art Institute of Chicago held a one man show for De Diego in 1935. Third husband of Gypsy Rose Lee, the two worked carnivals together. After their divorce, De Diego settled in California. This piece is in good condition with some slight color of the paper, color variation, and white paint spot towards the bottom (by the artist). Curling of the edges, minor marks and some waving to the paper. It is an original drawing done with a variety of mixed mediums by De Diego.
