First Edition. #439/500, signed by John Greenaway, the artist's brother. 300 pages. Thick vellum cloth. Stamped in gilt. The upper page edges are also gilt. A red ribbon marker is bound-in. At the front there is included the page, also signed by John Greenaway, and which has two sketches by Kate. Over the years, I have seen many copies of this limited edition but never one with two sketches. They appear to be on two separate pieces of paper. Every other copy I have seen only had one sketch. The covers are soiled with darkening to the spine. Fraying to the upper and lower spine ends, the corners are bumped. The front and rear hinges show splitting. The color illustration at page 88 has come loose but is present. This page also has a bit of wear about the edges. It is otherwise tight. A good+ copy with TWO ORIGINAL SKETCHES.
