Album features vocalist/lyricist King Pleasure, the inventor in 1952 of “vocalese”, the idea of putting lyrics to memorable jazz instrumental compositions and solos (James Moody's solo on “I'm in the Mood for Love” aka “Mood's Mood for Love” or Charlie Parker's “Parker's Mood” by King Pleasure) - a concept that was later developed by the group Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, that is Dave Lambert, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross, in which Hendricks created the lyrics for the group's interpretations of jazz classics. Annie Ross also appears on the album. CONDITION: Jacket is VG with 3” seam split off bottom opening, edge and ring wear. Record is VG+, with scuffs that do not affect play.
