The Chicago Tribune reprints Dell's King of the Royal Mounted Large Feature Comic #9 from 1940. This issue, in turn, reprints King of the Royal Mounted comic strips from 1936. Canadian Mountie Dave King was created by popular Western novelist Zane Grey. King goes to remote Welden to track down the mysterious Checkerboard Outlaw.
