Description: Up for sale is a very hard to find and very large John Derian for Tozai ceramic vase featuring a combination of transferware and hand painting. Each side features a chateau at the bottom and a large hand painted flower. The vase measures 12.75" tall, 6.25" square and weighs over 8.5 pounds. There were a few different sizes and variations of this vase made and this is the largest and hardest to find. The vase has a few areas where the transfer was not perfectly applied as shown in photos 9-12. This is not uncommon with this sort of vase that is all decorated by hand.
