The bag is durable and lightweight. When you open the shipping box, place the bag into a pot that will support your orchid until it has finished blooming. The Cymbidium Grow Bag functions as well as any container, so you can choose to leave the plant in the bag until it should be divided (2- 4 years), OR remove your plant from the bag and repot into your preferred pot. DO KEEP the root system intact if you choose to repot. This recent division is of the cool climate variety, grown outdoors in the Coastal Region of Northern California. While we don't have the registered name of this Cymbidium sub-variety, we can tell you that it was first acquired in the early 1970's.
