Description: This outstanding cotton 1870's baskets quilt top is all hand pieced and hand appliqued, with a few basket handles stitched with a treadle machine. The top was made by Francis Blankenbeker (1801 - 1886) of Boone County, Kentucky, purchased from one of her descendants. It measures 84" X 88" and is in excellent, sturdy condition, with the occasional small age spot and no wear. The pics just don't do justice to this WELL PIECED 19th century COLLECTOR'S PIECE with provenance!
