Description: This is a large heavy mid century modern Salviati Art Glass Purple and Green Sommerso Bowl, Murano Italy. It measures approximately 8 inches by 7 inches and is 3 inches tall weighs just over 8 pounds. I think this may be Alexandrite or Neodymium glass. A fellow Murano glass enthusiast sent me a photo of an identical piece with a 60's Salviati Label, this piece does not have a label.
