Description: Legitimus Collins & Co. - Machete Unique tip. I couldn't figure out which version # it is. Apparently it is a Bolo Machete; but made in Indiana instead of Guatemala, making it an original & from the original factory. Stamped: "Legitimus Collins & Co. IND. COL." for Colinsville, Indiana.WW2 - World War II - World War 2 26" Blade(66cm). 31" + 1/8" overall(79cm). 1lb 8oz with sheath(0.68 kilo). 1lb 1oz. blade(0.48 kilo). Nearly 100 years old. It looks great! It could use a light cleaning & sharpening (I "tested" it out a bit when I was younger.) I have never sharpened it. No Rust on the flat of the steel. A tiny bit of cosmoline is still on the blade. Fully useable indefinitely. The best machete I have EVER, EVER held. Clearly made of spring steel. I would proudly give this to my great-grand children, if in an apocalypse jungle; but I have no kids pass this on to. Unique Native American made sheath. Sheath could use some restoration stiches at the bottom tip. This is a piece of America. Acquired in Detroit, MI; 30 years ago.
