Description: This camera still blows my mind! Yes, low light performance unmatched (never shoot flash), WOW resolution at higher ISOs, the 28mm Summilux 1.7 lens is a precision instrument. Though, something about the images coming out of this camera, they're unique- delivering their own tonal edge, contrast, inky blacks, straight out of the camera. The limited edition "Reporter" is for the discrete streeter, documentarian who doesn't want to broadcast it's a Leica (no red dot). The aramid fiber looks rad, feels nice for the grip. This is a niche camera that will never loose its 'flare.' All said, I am a one kit photographer. I sold all my Sony Alpha gear to buy it with no regrets. If I had a puffier bank account, I'd keep it forever. Shooting 'BW only' for 2 years took me back to my roots that began BW. Fine tuning composition, telling a better story, bringing the viewer into the look and feel of the scene. I am changing up to a new adventure in the Q3/43mm. This camera has seen the best care, as any Leica camera buff automatically employs. There is burnishing on the base plate, thumb hold, and corners. A 2mmx1mm nick in the base housing seen adjacent to the card door. Red 25, Yellow 12 Tiffin 49mm filters, included. Custom fixed original strap length for street shooting (I shortened it). I cannot find the thread protection ring. I have always shot with the hood on, thus never looked for it until this listing :) They range from $20-50. I'll include the Match Tech pictured in its place (the original Leica lens cap is included though they are poorly functional). Posted in fredmiranda.com as well...
