Description: Leica IIIC Red Curtain _____________________________________________________ The Leica IIIC was manufactured from 1940 until 1951, the first camera bearing the serial number 360175 and the last 525000. It was the first Leica to have a diecast chassis and a one piece top plate and was 1/8" (3mm) longer than its predecessors. Codework for the pre-war camera was LOOZS and post-war models were LOOHW. On auction a “Red Curtain” model, made in 1941/42 with copy body cap. Cosmetic: EXC+, as pictures Optic/Glass: Clear finder and rangefinder with well defined patch.
