Description: I have here for sale a 2 VOLUME COMPLETE SET of LETTERS FROM EUROPE COMPRISING THE JOURNAL OF A TOUR THROUGH IRELAND, ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, FRANCE, ITALY AND SWITZERLAND, IN THE YEARS 1825, 1826 & 27, by N. H. CARTER. Published by G & C CARVILL, New York. Half bound in leather over marbled boards. Gilt title lettering on a red block to the spines. Spine edges and boards are rubbed and somewhat worn. Surface scuffs to the boards. These are ex-library copies, bookplate on the inside of the front board. Pencilled note on ffep. Pages are toned and foxed throughout. Back board of the volumes are detached. The text blocks remain tightly bound. 528,571pp. 23cm x 15cm. Perhaps a little TLC required - price reflective. Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped. To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account.
