Description: Gorgeous polychrome transferware footed platter by Charles Meigh and Sons (Hanley, Staffordshire 1850-1861), with purple and green lilacs around the rim and in the center of a 10 x 8 inch tray with molded handles and rims and a 1-inch high molded pedestal foot. Appears to also have painted accents on the flowers. Pattern and maker (C.M.&S.) marked on the back and additional (ceramicist?) mark is incised. In very good condition, clear crazing all over, what look like a few glaze pops on the underside and a couple of very small (and old) chips on the underside of the rim -- see pictures. Will ship USPS, well packed, within 2 days. See my eBay store for lots more interesting vintage items. I offer discounts for combined shipping. Thanks for looking!
