Included in this package are two Radial Engineering 500 Series Preamps, with integrated compressor/Limiter feature. This protects your entire system from extremely high db sounds. The compressor/Limiter is used in recording drums, vocals, and a range of other instruments. The Limiter being an absolute necessity with the sensitivity of condenser mic’s. Setting the “threshold”will limit the level of sound that’s sent through the preamp, and the “ratio” sets the amount of sound that’s limited, which eliminates clipping in your recorded tracks and protects your studio equipment and your ears from permanent damage.
