This locomotive and tender were manufactured by Lionel from 1946 to 1949. The Locomotive was tested, and runs well in both directions. The light works. The smoke system was not tested. The tender whistle works. This set has been in storage for many years. Both the locomotive and tender require servicing and lubrication for routine maintenance. The reversing switch in the locomotive is a little sticky, and should be lubricated to switch smoothly. The whistle motor also requires some lubrication. There are scratches and paint loss, which show it was "well-played-with". Paint loss on the cow catcher and on the face of the boiler. Examine the photos to determine the condition. The original tender box is in poor condition, missing end flaps, and is fragile due to age. Please examine the photos, and ask any questions. Available for free local pickup in Fabulous Las Vegas!
