Lionel Electric Train Set #11520, w/#242 Locomotive 6 Pieces-Tested! No Track

Description: This is a vintage (1965?) Lionel Electric Train Set #11520 (partial) which comes with the #242 Locomotive, Tender and 4 additional freight cars and original box. No track, accessories other than as shown or manual is included. The Lionel #242 Steam Locomotive features forward and reverse operation with a light (not working). The locomotive, tender and cars have been tested with the included transformer and are in Very Good to Excellent condition with few signs of use or wear. The light on the locomotive is not working (bulb is probably burned out) and there is no smoke (not sure this was a feature). The Operating Log Car was not tested and there are no logs or other original accessories other than the cannisters for the Gondola car. The box is in good condition for its age. Produced on a painted BLACK plastic body with WHITE heat-stamped number on the cab. It has a plastic motor that had a traction tire and was controlled by a two-position directional unit. This locomotive was lighted and has a headlight lens. This locomotive was designed to work on O-27 Gauge track and it will also run on O Gauge track.
