Description: Black Locust Kiln dried cookie slabs are approximately 9 inches x 12 inches by 1 1/2 to 3 inches thick. Black Locust wood is hard to find. It is a very hard wood and carves very clean with a CNC or router! These cookies are sawn with a chainsaw so they are a rough cut. Most of the bark is still attached and is quite sturdy - we have had good luck with them staying attached even going through a planer! Black Locust wood is unique as it fluoresces under black light giving off a yellow / green glow. This tree had fallen naturally in Nova Scotia Canada and was harvested.Shipping is free in Canada and we will charge $25 to $35 to ship to the lower 48 states.
