They were manufactured for a government/military contract as portable respiratory ventilator cases. The 1620 is one of the most popular Pelican cases so there are lots of aftermarket accessories like lid organizers that fit these cases. Great for photography, electronics, whatever you need to protect and transport. With the additional AC power bulkhead, you can set it up to charge camera batteries or power field communications equipment, etc. External power cord not included. The foam you see in the photos is included: full internal padding and dividers. You may need to customize it to your needs. The bulkhead connector on the case is a 2 pin male Bulgin Buccaneer.
