Description: LOVELY ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS PLAYA DEL CARMEN BY MASSI 30” x 30”. About artist Massi was born in a small village in the north of Italy in 1948. In 1956, he migrates to Canada with his family. The family settles down in the region of Montreal. During the explosive popularity of the Beatles, Massi, then fifteen years old, learns how to play guitar. He forms a musical group that quickly becomes successful. At school, he wins a first price for a sculpted head of a prehistoric man which was shown in a science exhibit. Towards the end of his teenage period, and with the encouragement of his father, Massi abandons the music group to continue his studies. That is when he started his new hobby, oil painting. Massi started to sell his art work which helped pay for his University studies in Law. At the age of twenty seven, he graduates from l'École du Barreau and performs brilliantly as a lawyer.
