Keep in mind that since the unit uses a lead acid battery this unit should be plugged in and left powered on every 3-6 months to charge the battery. The unit also has a "quick charge" port on the back for charging the battery externally (I recommend using an external charger that can self terminate the charge when done). When powered on, while plugged in, the unit will beep and the LED light will come on. When powered on while on battery the unit will beep but LED light will not illuminate because that's wired for 120V. This can do Alpha/Beta.
