Description: This is a pretty rare meat cleaver. Mack & Co (DR Barton) edge tool company mostly made woodworking tools. The company started in 1832 but Mack & Co was only used from 1874-1924 so this dates from that period. Little surface rust and minor pitting on one side. Measures 14" long and true to Mack/Barton style the handle is full hilt and curved on the rear exposing part of the steel. You see this on some Mack and Barton hand tools. Interesting piece for sure and I've never seen another cleaver from them. See pictures and ask any questions. Thank you
