Marblehead Pottery 5 3/8" undecorated matte lavender ovoid vase arts & crafts

Description: Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery ovoid or "football" shaped vase in their matte lavender glaze with a white interior. This piece measures 5 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, or firing flaws. No visible mark, likely under the glaze on the bottom the firms die-stamped MP with ship and waves mark. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A beautiful piece by a great New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
